First of all, Discord requires the user to run a closed-source client. We do not know what the code of this client is, it could contain a backdoor by the NSA and we would not even know.

Discord confirms that it collects masses of personal data about its users. The following information is 100% collected:

Users e-mail and phone number

All text messages and images sent by the users

All voice chat data

Morals

Discord gives little to no attention to its ethics and actions by its userbase. It often ignores any reports of online predators or pedophiles on its platform. Infact, Discord is so incredibly uncaring, that actual child pornography is hosted PUBLICLY on its platform. This is not only illegal, but so immoral, that Discord should be publicly sued and held responsible for not caring about anything.
